# Identify: Anonymous

**Anonymous registration** makes use of Monterosa's proprietary authentication service, **Identify**, to register users to vote.

Registration is completed automatically when a user first accesses the Vote tab, without the need for the user to complete a registration flow. The device ID is used to authenticate the user, with their registered state persisting until the app is uninstalled.
