1. How do I change the style of X?
Key styling options are available in App Settings, but if youβre looking for something more specific than is available, we've created a handy guide about advanced CSS overrides; the method of applying your own style changes to any component in an Experience.
2. How do I place content behind login?
If your Experience utilises Monterosa / Identify there are a few areas you can configure a login wall to ensure users are logged in before they proceed:
Event Settings β Gamification β Require user login? - if when checked, this means that users who are not logged in will be prompted to do so before they can see the Event.
Element β User Access - most Elements have a User Access tab to create requirements before a user can view the Element. The overlay text blocking the Element can be configured in App Settings β Text β User Access and the image is configurable inside App Settings β Settings β User Access.
Before interaction - some Elements such as a Poll have a checkbox allowing only registered users to vote / predict / submit.
Event Settings β Promo β General - the Promo area of an Event can also be placed behind requirements, in the same way as an Element's User Access works (mentioned above).
3. How do I use points and leaderboards?
Gamification features (such as points) require Monterosa / Gamify to be configured, whilst user accounts features (such as leaderboards) require Monterosa / Identify to be configured. Weβve set up a step-by-step guide to start using points and leaderboards with these Extensions in your Experience.
4. Which Elements can give users points for playing?
Please see "Elements which can give users points" for the current list.
5. How do I adjust my page layout?
The page layout in FanKit is controlled by Display Modes. By default your Experience should be in "Timeline Mode" but you can browse the different Display Modes to see which serves you best.
We have also created a quick guide for "publishing content to containers" in these Display Modes.
