Creating your Element

From inside an Event, press the [ + Element ] button to open the Element selection menu and select the Element you want to create. Elements are placed on the timeline of an Event, with Timing properties based on the Element type. Read more about Timing here.

Element setup

When creating this Element you will see the following tabs in Monterosa / Interaction Cloud to configure your Element:

Question

Title - Main headline typically serving as the subject or key question to help audience quickly grasp its context

Subtitle - A subordinate title usually accompanying the main title to provide more context/instructions

Image - Displayed boldly at the top of the title to capture the audience attention and to provide even more context

Revealed Image - Reserved to be displayed only when user has interacted with element on reveal state

Video - Serves same purpose as Image but can takes precedence when there's a pre-existing image

Aspect Ratio - Choose an aspect ratio depending on desired visual impact and platform requirements

Options - Add options with which audience will interact.

Option 1 - Can have title and answer image

Option 2 - Can have title and answer image

Add Option - Add as many options as possible

Content

Points scoring mode - Choose preferred instance at which points are awarded to audience. It could be either instantaneously or on element's closure

Points Mechanic - Select the mechanism for awarding points.

• Fixed - A definite point number is set. User is awarded full points

• Decreasing - Points can decrease depending on the number of seconds used/left in interacting with element

Points - Maximum number of points awarded for correct answer

Save Vote - Saves the users interaction to the interaction history database

Points minimum - The lowest number of points a user can earn for providing a correct answer. While the answer may be accurate, the time taken to respond can result in a reduced point reward. Usually used in Decreasing point mechanic

Points decrease start countdown - Time in seconds where points start to decrease

Display Start Screen - Will display a start screen at the beginning of the element

Display results before Form - It allows the results to be displayed before the element form

Result

Correct answer - Enter the correct answer. Various styles of accepted answers can be separated with /

Reveal type - Choose the method for displaying the correct answer:

• On vote - The answer is revealed immediately after the user submits their vote

• On close - The answer is revealed only after the element is closed

• Don't reveal - The answer is not shown to the user immediately after voting

Converters

Show reactions - Enables users to express their feedback on elements through reaction icons

Pin element - Always appear on the topmost part of page

Competition Form - Element form set up in project can be referenced here to be displayed

Display countdown - Displays the remaining time left before element's closure

Display round number - Displays the specific game round user is interacting with

Displays question number -Displays current question number out of total questions

Round number - Field to input round number

Question number - Field to input question number

Score sound - Pass the key of the sound you wish to play when the user answers correctly

Container ID - Determines which container the element show appear in

Custom class names - Applies class names to the element. Can be used to target styles in 'Advanced CSS' for any element with the specified classes

Sponsor ID - Corresponds to the unique sponsor ID assigned to an item within the Sponsor collection, found under Experience

Google ad ID - Corresponds to the unique google ad ID assigned to an item within the Adverts collection, found under Experience

Featured Links ID - Collections of links to use in element referencing them using ID's

More Information ID - Create collections of information screens to display within elements, referencing them using ID's

User Access

User Access - Specifies when and how users are permitted to view and interact with element

• Public - All users whether signed in or not can view and interact with element

• Require Login - Only signed in user are permitted to view and interact with element

• Points threshold - Accumulated points can be used to unlock the element

Primary button label override - Override the default button label text

Points Threshold text - Override the default points threshold text

Points threshold - Set the points needed to unlocked elements

Overrides

Start button text override - Override text for start button text under element scaffolding

View form button text override - Override text for view form button in element form

Submitted Title - Add preferred title text that appears in State box under submitted state

Submitted Text - Add preferred body text that appears in State box under submitted state

Correct Title - Override title text which display after reveal and user answer is correct

Correct text - Override body text which display on result screen after reveal and user answer is correct

Incorrect Title - Override title text which display on result screen after reveal and user answer is incorrect

Incorrect text - Override body text which display on result screen after reveal and user answer is incorrect

Closed Text - Display on results screen after element is closed

Share Image Title - Override the title at the top of the share image

Share Image Subtitle - Override the subtitle at the top of the share image

Share Image Description - Override the description at the top of the share image

Sharing Image override - Override the global share image

Sharing Image override (correct) - Override the global correct share image
