Replay Quiz

What is Replay Quiz?

The Replay Quiz is a dynamic, multi-question quiz wrapper that engages fans with an interactive quiz experience. It allows creators to build custom quizzes with a series of questions, each presented one at a time, and delivers a final score-based result screen. The Replay Quiz Element is particularly powerful because it gives fans the opportunity to retake the quiz as many times as they wish, making it ideal for increasing engagement and repeat interactions.

Example use cases

Sport:

  • Player prediction quiz: Fans guess which player will score the next goal, with the ability to replay and test different predictions across multiple matches

  • Trivia championship: A multi-round quiz where fans compete to achieve the highest score, with replay functionality to improve their results

Entertainment:

  • Episode recap quiz: Test fans' knowledge of plot points from the latest episode with a replay option to revisit and rewatch content

Component requirements

The Replay Quiz is a wrapper Element that contains one or more Replay Quiz Question child Elements. Both components work together to create a complete quiz experience.

Replay Quiz Wrapper

A parent container that houses all questions within a quiz. The wrapper manages the overall quiz experience, including result screens, replay functionality, and sharing features. Detailed configuration options are available in the Replay Quiz Wrapper guide.

Replay Quiz Question

A single multiple-choice question with one correct answer. Each question is a child Element nested within the wrapper and is displayed one at a time as fans progress through the quiz. Detailed configuration options are available in the Replay Quiz Question guide.

Common questions about Replay Quiz

Can I show only some of my questions randomly instead of all of them?

Yes! In the Replay Quiz Wrapper's Content tab, use the Number of random questions setting. Leave it blank to show all questions in sequence, or enter a specific number (e.g. 5) to randomly select that many from your question bank each time the quiz is replayed.

What's the difference between Replay Quiz and other quiz Elements?

The Replay Quiz Element is specifically designed for replayability, fans can take the quiz multiple times without reloading the page, with optional randomisation of questions. It also includes built-in result screens with score-conditional messaging and social sharing features.

Can I limit when fans can access the Replay Quiz?

Yes, the User Access tab in the Replay Quiz Wrapper lets you restrict the Element to Members Only or require a minimum points threshold. You can also use Display Start Screen to show important instructions before fans begin.

How do I customise the score display on the result screen?

In the Replay Quiz Wrapper's Overrides tab, use Result State Box to create score-conditional messages. For example, you can set a message for "0–2 points", another for "3–4 points", and a third for "5 points".

What happens if I change the Quiz ID after publishing?

The Quiz ID links the wrapper Element to its child Question Elements. If you change the ID, the questions will no longer be associated with the wrapper. Always keep the wrapper and child questions' Quiz IDs in sync.

Can I disable the replay feature?

Yes, in the Replay Quiz Wrapper's Content tab, toggle Enable replay off. This removes the "Try Again" button and prevents fans from retaking the quiz.

Can I use Converters with Replay Quiz?

Yes! The Replay Quiz Wrapper supports multiple Converters including Reactions, Competition Form, Sponsor, Google Ads, Featured Links, and More Information. See the Replay Quiz Wrapper guide for details.

Tips for creating engaging Replay Quizzes

  • Use varied question types: Mix image-based multiple choice with text-based questions to maintain fan interest

  • Leverage randomisation: Use the Number of random questions setting to create different experiences for repeat plays

  • Customise result messaging: Create score-conditional messages that celebrate success and encourage replay for better scores

  • Combine with Converters: Use Sponsor, Featured Links, or Google Ads to monetise or promote related content

  • Test accessibility: Always fill in image alt text for screen reader users on both wrapper and questions

  • Keep it concise: Aim for 5–10 questions per quiz; shorter experiences encourage completion and replay
