Forms allows you to collect and securely store data sourced by forms

Forms is an external service provided by the platform and primarily used to power competitions and sweepstakes, and provision of UGC content by end users.

Description

The Data Capture feature can collect a user's data, for example user names, emails, phone numbers. Data Capture also has the ability to upload files with other formats - audio, video, images. It is commonly used for competition or sweepstakes, or asking people to provide content.

Studio Setup

Setup Data Capture

Forms are created in the Data Capture menu found in the left-hand nav within Studio. You can create a new form simply by clicking the Create New Form button.

Setup the Data Capture Element

The Data Capture Element tells the platform when and how to display the form UI. To add a competition form in the Timeline, select the Data Capture icon from the Element list:

Choose your timing mode and form

Select Manual or Timecode mode within the Timing tab. Then, in the Settings tab, select the form you want to add in the timeline.

Sponsor "Enable sponsor?" checkbox - turn it on in case Event User Score should be sponsored. Otherwise, leave the checkbox unchecked.

Export the data collected

At any point during the competition you can export the data collected. In the Data Capture menu in Studio, click on the number of entries next to the data capture form.

You can see all entries in Studio. These data can be exported in a CSV file by clicking Export records.
